Level IC Fieldwork at Pacific University is a sixteen week, part-time (4 hours/1 day/week) experience in select settings in which services are primarily provided to the pediatric or older adult population. Experiences from Level IC are integrated into course content in order to use “real life” examples for application of key theoretical concepts while bridging classroom to practice experiences for pediatric clients and promoting higher levels of critical reasoning. My Experience
For my level IC rotation, I worked at Hawthorn Farm Learning Years, a school and daycare center in Hillsboro, OR. During this time, I worked with another student to develop and run activity plans for various age groups. Additionally, this time was used to observe children of different ages to gain a better understanding of development, occupational participation throughout childhood, and more.
